Our digital design process

To create cohesive, impactful and thoughtful design systems in a digital world, we take the following steps:

Define

We kick off the digital design project by immersing ourselves in your world: you will do a lot of talking and we will do a lot of listening.

We will visit your spaces, interview key stakeholders and host an interactive workshop to get us all thinking.

During this digital design workshop, we will agree on both the user personas and traffic sources, as well as the project scope, sitemap and the site architecture together.

Discussion will centre around:

USER PERSONAS - Who are you creating this for?

TRAFFIC SOURCES - How will users discover your site?

SITE ARCHITECTURE - How do you want users to navigate your website?

Discovery & Wireframing

Your site architecture has been signed off - so it’s time to get down to the nitty gritty. We will take the user personas and site architecture and begin to build upon it; creating user flows to show how users will navigate their way around your site.

We will also create low-res wireframes (desktop and mobile), and present them alongside real world examples to help you visualise how this could come to life.

Design

Prototyping & UI Design

We will now distil all your feedback, refine the designs, and add in placeholder imagery.

This stage will also include prototyping of both the journey and the interactions. Once signed off, we can move into build.

Before the build, we will make any refinements and complete accessibility checks.

Build

It’s time to start thinking about launch activity.

Depending on the size of your website, we will usually allow for 4+ weeks development time before we share a staging link. This will be your chance to feedback on any development changes before your upcoming launch. You will be shared a ClickUp form to report any feedback for our team to review.

CMS training will also take place where one of our team will run a session on how to use the backend of the website. Key stakeholders who will be using the CMS should attend and the session will be recorded as a reference point incase you may need it in the future.

Our team will implement any development feedback picked up on the staging link and complete final testing and QA.

Launch & Optimisations

We’ll support you going live through all of the usual hurdles and pitfalls. We’ll help with your domain and hosting company as well as set-up the analytics and cookie trackers.

We’ll go live early in the week to give us time to iron out any bugs, and we’ll set-up a bug tracker that’s simple to follow and capture any issues. We’ll then support and fix any bugs, issues or optimisations within a free 30-day warranty for any digital development project.

We’ll then discuss on-going support whether bug fixing, content updates, hosting, UX design reviews, SEO optimisations, speed ranking, A/B testing, blog posts and beyond.
