Our team now go forth and gather new insight and references to entwine with what we have learnt from you. From brand insight papers to observations to field trips to classic desk research - each branding project is different.
We then organise this information into interesting brand themes, which we will present back to you. This process ring-fences the white space and focuses our vision for your brand. It’s the beginning of your central brand idea and positioning.
Knowing what we know now.. who do you want your brand to be?
This crucial stage articulates just that. It forms a solid foundation for your brand and exciting ‘red thread’ for all creative and marketing. It will become a consistent, recognisable pulse.
We call this written document a Brand Anchor as it will ground you - it will provide weight, meaning and confidence.
We use this anchor as a strategic lens, filter and springboard to design you an authentic brand world.
Now it's time to think about your brand more visually.
Our team begin ideating for own-able, meaningful visual brand motifs that express your new brand anchor in exciting ways.
We pull creative references and flesh out these ideas through further research.
Each route forward we share will be led by a ‘brand idea’ statement - designed to solidify a leading sentiment of your final brand concept.
Next we will run a deep-dive branding exploration to build the direction and concept of our new brand world.
We will explore the possibilities of your brand's typography, colour, art direction, animation, casting, etc. - all and any of the creative elements needed to bring our idea to life.
To structure this session, we will share with you 2-3 brand ideas. These ‘ideas’ will encapsulate everything we have done so far in different ways, each a red thread that could lead and add clear meaning to your visual and verbal identity concept.
This is a big moment! We will present both verbal and visual creative branding direction together; in one exciting, entwined session. As with each stage, you will get an interactive PDF to review as well.
A typical Wildish project includes 2-3 final brand directions. We aim for depth not quantity, ensuring each route has strategic grit and the potential to truly meet your needs.
Like getting a new hair cut, seeing your brand transformed can be a bit of a shock to the system - no matter how excited you were for the change. We love getting gut reactions, but with this stage in particular we suggest you also go away and let the ideas settle. See what rises to the top!
After your final feedback is incorporated, we will hold a brand reveal session.
In this we we talk through your final visual and verbal identity, going through individual elements and discussing the rationale, the changes and how each element can be used going forward.
We often also produce a ‘brand reveal video’ for you to share digitally. This is an exciting way to announce the new brand internally and get other teams involved and excited.
After the reveal, it’s time to hand over.
Within a branded and interactive document, we will outline your new design system, rules, strategy and usage examples.
We will also deliver a brand toolkit in the form of a customised microsite - this will allow you to quickly access assets and practically use the brand day-to-day.
This is also the point where we deliver all assets outlined in our project scope.
